Ah, yes, the old A Fork roping saddle. Shown with a very popular hard seat. Because you have more of your body in an upright position, and the weight is distributed over the entire saddle block area, this is really a great saddle for long times in the saddle. The pommel is narrow for more room in the thigh area. It allows easier "looking back". Deep roper stirrups with a wide tread make for less strain on your legs. Notice that the stirrup leathers are placed on the outside of the fender on this model, with square skirts, for that "old" California look.
